- Use a 9x13 pan with straight corners for uniform squares. We love this pan by USA Pan Store.

- Parchment paper makes taking the squares out of the pan and clean up a super easy.

- Microwave safe bowls with slip resistant bottoms make no-bake baking easy. I use these bowls every time I bake. I love that they stay put on the counter while I stir.

- Store squares in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Red, White & Blue Squares

Ingredients

For the Squares:

- 1/2 cup butter

- 16 oz mini marshmallows

- 3 oz strawberry Jell-O

- 3 oz blueberry Jell-O

- 8 cups crispy rice cereal

For the Topping:

- 1 (13 oz) bag white chocolate chips

- 2 tablespoons coconut oil

- Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Pan

First, line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter. This will make it easier to remove the Squares later.

Step 2: Make the Strawberry Layer

1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1/4 cup of butter and 8 oz of mini marshmallows.

2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth.

3. Stir in the 3 oz of strawberry Jell-O until fully incorporated.

4. Gently fold in 4 cups of crispy rice cereal until all the cereal is coated with the marshmallow mixture.

5. Press the strawberry mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula, parchment paper, or wax paper to press it down firmly.

Step 3: Make the Blueberry Layer

1. Clean the microwave-safe bowl, then repeat the process for the blueberry layer: combine the remaining 1/4 cup of butter and 8 oz of mini marshmallows in the bowl.

2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted and smooth.

3. Stir in the 3 oz of blueberry Jell-O until well combined.

4. Gently fold in the remaining 4 cups of crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.

5. Press the blueberry mixture on top of the strawberry layer in the baking dish, ensuring an even layer.

Step 4: Prepare the Topping

1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil.

2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

3. Pour the melted white chocolate over the top of the blueberry layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Step 5: Decorate

1. While the white chocolate is still warm, generously sprinkle the red, white, and blue sprinkles over the top.

2. Let the bars cool completely at room temperature, or place them in the refrigerator to set more quickly.

Step 6: Slice and Serve

Once the bars are fully set, lift them out of the baking dish using parchment paper or by loosening the edges with a knife. Cut into squares and serve these vibrant, tasty treats at your next celebration!
